Oil. Fiber. Metal.
Amy is an interdisciplinary artist whose work expresses the wonders of nature, celebrating its bold colors and intricate designs through painting and sculptural forms. She has studied painting at Boston University and Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where she earned her degree in 2013. She is formally trained in oil painting but also enjoys sculptural work in both fiber and metal. She lives and works on Cape Cod where she is provided an abundance of inspiration from its coastal and arboreal surroundings. She has yet to meet a medium she does not like.
An artist is a prophet and seer, not a paint craftsman or design maker, or reporter or entertainer... the artist has the superiorly searching perception with which that world outside of man's contamination can be penetrated and the truth drawn out from it.
